Through Corning's proprietary melting process, the hydroxyl (OH) content is controlled at ≤1ppm, which significantly reduces the hydroxyl absorption peak in the infrared band (around 2.7μm). It is suitable for scenarios with strict requirements on infrared transmittance, such as infrared spectral analysis and infrared imaging.
Compared with ordinary fused silica glass, the bending strength of Corning substrates is increased by approximately 15%, and the surface compressive performance is better.
