Corning HPFS® 7980 is a high-purity synthetic fused silica glass developed by Corning Incorporated. It is made of amorphous silica through a flame hydrolysis process and is specifically designed for ultraviolet optical applications and high-precision uses. As an upgraded replacement for the discontinued 7940 model, it has achieved comprehensive optimizations in ultraviolet light transmittance, thermal stability, and optical uniformity, becoming a core optical substrate in high-end fields such as semiconductor lithography, laser technology, and aerospace.
