752S UV-Vis Spectrophotometer 190nm~1100nm Laboratory Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrophotometer
Product Description
752S UV-Vis Spectrophotometer is one convenientspectrophotometric general instrument developed and made by Raytek. The instrument could set factor and directly read the transmittance, absorbance and concentration from 190nm to 1100nm.It could set wavelength manually.2nm bandwidth could meet the needs of most quantitative measurement requirements. They could make the qualitative and quantitative test in material research, pharmaceutical analysis, Biochemical and clinical examination, analysis of water quality control, food inspection and the other fields
Structure:
The UV-Visible Spectrophotometer primarily consists of five main parts: a light source, a monochromator, a sample cell, a detector, and a data processing system.
Light Source: It includes both ultraviolet and visible light sources, capable of emitting a continuous spectrum within the range of 200-800nm.
Monochromator: An optical component used to select light of a specific wavelength.
Sample Cell: Used for placing the sample to be tested, typically made of quartz or glass.
Detector: Monitors the intensity of light after it passes through the sample.
Data Processing System: Records and processes the signals received by the detector to obtain the absorbance value of the sample.
Product Features
Low Stray Light: Precision optical design ensure the stray light lower than 0.05% to meet clients' need when they want to test
high absorbance sample.
High Wavelength Accuracy: Built-in spectral characteristics work for the auto wavelength detection and calibration to ensure the
accuracy and long-term stability.
Wide Wavelength Range: The wavelength range covers from 190nm to 1100nm. The widest wavelength range of the similar products is
offered to meet the needs of most spectrophotometric test.
by operation of two screws, no need to adjust light path make maintenance easier and reliable.
Functions:
The primary function of the UV-Visible Spectrophotometer is to measure the absorbance of substances at specific wavelengths, thereby obtaining information about their concentration and content. This is achieved by comparing the transmittance of the sample and a reference sample at specific wavelengths.
Applications:
Medicine and Biology: Used for measuring the concentration and purity of proteins, nucleic acids, enzymes, and other biological macromolecules.
Chemistry: Used for measuring the concentration of solutions and studying the kinetics of chemical reactions.
Environmental Science: Used for measuring pollutants in water and air.
Pharmacology: Used for quality control of drugs and the development of new drugs.
Food Science: Used for measuring pigments, nutritional components, etc., in food.
Product Parameters
Sample Handling:
When using a spectrophotometer, samples are typically placed in transparent optical cuvettes, such as quartz or glass, to ensure that light can pass through and be absorbed or transmitted by the sample.
Data Analysis:
The measured data can be analyzed by establishing standard curves, comparing the absorbance of samples with known concentrations, etc., to determine the concentration of unknown samples. The ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer is a commonly used analytical instrument with advantages such as high sensitivity, rapid measurement, and simple operation, making it significant for chemical analysis and research.
Working Principle:
The concentration of specific compounds in a sample is determined by measuring the absorption or transmission of ultraviolet-visible light by the sample. The instrument generates a beam of ultraviolet-visible light through a light source. After the sample absorbs part of the light, the detector measures the intensity of the transmitted light and calculates the absorbance based on the proportional relationship.
Wavelength Range:
Ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometers typically cover a wavelength range of 185nm to 800nm for ultraviolet-visible light and can select the appropriate wavelength range according to different application needs.
Application Areas:
Ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometers are widely used in fields such as chemistry, biology, medicine, and environmental protection. For example, they are used to analyze the concentration and composition of organic compounds, drugs, proteins, DNA, etc., in solutions, as well as for environmental monitoring of water quality and the atmosphere.
