General Introduction: The Raytek plano convex lens with 660-1380nm antireflection film is designed to meet the stringent requirements of ultrafast laser applications, and coated with antireflection film optimized for ultrashort pulse. This antireflection film will be applied to our standard UV fused silica lens.

UV fused quartz is a kind of amorphous silica, which has high purity and can provide the maximum transmission from 195 to 2100 nm. The amorphous, colorless quartz glass has very low thermal expansion coefficient and good optical properties, and has excellent transmittance in the ultraviolet region. The transmittance and uniformity of the crystal are higher than that of quartz crystal, and there is no inherent orientation and temperature instability in crystal form. It does not emit fluorescence under ultraviolet light and is resistant to radiation. For high energy applications, the high purity of fused quartz eliminates the micro defects that may cause laser damage.

Our uncoated precision planoconvex lenses are polished to a strict tolerance and use a master test plate to ensure minimal wavefront distortion to meet the stringent requirements of laser electro-optic focusing applications. Strict surface quality tolerance minimizes scattering and unnecessary diffraction effects. Our standard precision lens has a surface quality of 40-20 scratch pitting and a surface power of 1.5λ. We also offer economical lenses with 60-40 scratch pitting surface quality to provide superior performance at a lower price.

Antireflection coating optimized for ultrafast laser
Our broadband ultrafast antireflection coatings are specially optimized for ultrafast laser wavelengths of 660-1380 nm to provide low group velocity dispersion (GVD) performance. This is shown in the figure AR.UF The results of ar.16 and ar.18 are compared with those of our standard films with similar wavelength
