Product Description:The plane concave lens is a spherical surface on one side and a plane surface on the other side. The middle is also thinner than the sides. Plano-concave lenses have a negative focal length and are used to diverge a beam of parallel light.

Plano-concave lenses bend parallel input rays so that they diverge from each other on the output side of the lens, and thus have a negative focal length. Plano-concave lenses have negative spherical aberration and can be used to balance out aberrations produced by other lenses. Similar to plano-concave lenses, the surface of curvature usually faces the largest object distance or the conjugate surface of infinity to reduce spherical aberration.
