General Introduction: Raytek's UV fused silica plano concave cylindrical lens is designed to meet the stringent requirements of laser electro-optic applications. They are made of UV fused quartz and polished to a strict tolerance to ensure minimum wavefront distortion. Strict surface quality tolerances minimize scattering and unnecessary diffraction effects, making these lenses particularly suitable for sensitive laser applications, including laser scanning, diode laser beam shaping. UV fused silica can provide maximum transmission from 195 nm to 2100 nm. It does not fluoresce under ultraviolet light and is radiation resistant. For high energy applications, the high purity of fused silica eliminates the micro defects that may cause laser damage..
