Product Description:Fused quartz and silica tubes are needed in the semiconductor industry for the manufacturing of batch processing equipment used in CVD, Diffusion and Annealing tools. We manufactures fused quartz and silica tubes in a variety of material grades and dimensions. The provided tubes are characterized by high purity and material homogeneity while maintaining low bubble contents and tight dimensional tolerances.

Electrically Fused Quartz Tubes
HSQ®100 single-step quartz tubes are drawn in an electrical fusion process resulting in a cost-efficient solution for many industrial applications.
For more demanding and high-end semiconductor applications We can provide multi-step and improved single step electrically fused quartz tubes in HSQ®300, HSQ®330 and HSQ®330S material quality depending on the purity requirements of the customers' application.
This results in a material with enhanced homogeneity and low OH-content for high thermal stability in the final application.

Electrically Fused and Stabilized Quartz Tubes
For high temperature applications it  can offer electrically fused quartz tubes with further improved temperature stability to reduce the possibility of sagging at elevated working temperatures.
The utilized large diameter fused quartz tubes are therefore impregnated with a special agent to induce the formation of a stabilization layer in the final application. The originating fused quartz tubes are referred to by the HSQ®400 material quality.


Fused quartz and silica tubes are used in batch furnace processing to serve as chemically pure reaction chambers, as gas or liquid inlets or as transportation pipes.

Substrate Tubes:
Fluosil® synthetic fused silica substrate tubes are used in key steps of optical fiber production. Chemical Vapor deposition (CVD) processes rely on high purity and precise geometrical properties of the substrate tubes to achieve excellent core rods.


Cladding Tubes:
Heraeus fused silica tubes can not only be used for the manufacturing of core rods in the deposition process, but also as cladding material, jacketing the core rod. Heraeus fused silica tubes can be tailored to customer specific requirements. Applying Fluosil® tubes as cladding material in the rod in tube process (RIT) benefits from the low hydroxyl content of our material. As a result, the interface between the core rod and cladding material stays free of hydroxyl ions.


Pump Cladding for Laser Systems:
For high power lasers we offer tubes with an inner undoped section as pump cladding for the pump light and a highly fluorine doped fused silica layer to guide the light. The interface between pump area and guiding layer can be round but also shaped to increase the pump efficiency of the laser source. These kinds of tubes are commonly used for higher power lasers with increased power levels.


Capillary Tubes:
Small diameter capillary tubes made of high purity synthetic fused silica or fluorine doped silica are used in the manufacturing of photonic crystal fibers or fiber combiners.

IR Applications
To achieve high transmission in infrared applications we offers tubing with a low OH content which provides excellent thermal stability. When combined with high chemical purity and tight geometric tolerances we are able to address even the most demanding applications.
Lamp tubing is available from 10mm < DIA < 64mm.

Visible Applications
Visible light applications include short-arc lamps, sun simulation, stage and studio lighting, optical lamps for spectroscopy, and pulsed-flash lamps for both laser and non-laser applications.
These applications sometimes require natural, synthetic, and semi-synthetic quartz with a range of properties. Tolerance to thermal stress and high energy is usually required.
