Product Description

General Introduction:
Raytek plane-convex cylindrical lens focuses incoming light onto a line, has a positive focal length, consists of a plane and a convex cylinder, and is often used to focus parallel or divergent light beams onto a line or to change the aspect ratio of an image. The traditional spherical lens acts symmetrically on the incident light in two directions, while the cylindrical lens acts only on the incident light in one direction. The typical application is to use a pair of cylindrical lenses to shape the deformed beam, and a pair of regular cylindrical lenses can be used for collimating and circular laser diode output. Another possible application is to focus a divergent beam of light onto a detector array using a single column lens.
