Product Description

General Introduction:
Meniscus lenses are concave-convex lenses. The lens has an outer convex mirror and an inner concave mirror. If the outer convex radian is greater than the inner concave radian, the lens has a positive focal length and is used as a magnifying glass; If the concave side curvature is large and the convex side curvature is small, it is a negative meniscus lens. Negative meniscus lens can be used to replace other negative lenses. Meniscus lenses are used to reduce spherical aberration to a large extent, and can obtain smaller focus and less aberration than plano-convex lenses to improve image quality. When combined with another lens, a meniscus can shorten the focal length and thus increase the numerical aperture (NA) of the system without introducing significant spherical aberration. For convergent collimating light, the convex surface of the lens should face the light source.
